Bay Area Air Quality Management District

San Francisco, CA 94109

Mr. Norton,

Please notify me of all opportunities for public comment on PG&E's application for a new five year Title V Clean Air Act permit that would allow them to keep polluting the air of Bayview Hunters Point and San Francisco for another five years.

I want the Air District to hold a public hearing on PG&E's permit application, and I urge you to deny PG&E a new permit. We need clean air, clean energy and environmental justice, not five more years of pollution and dirty air.

Signed

Help Close the PG&E Hunters Point Power Plant Now!

Support Clean Energy, Conservation and Energy Efficiency,
Not Fossil Fuel Power Plants

Fact PG&E's Hunters Point power plant should have been closed years ago, but state officials want this outdated plant to keep operating and emitting pollution that causes asthma and smog.

Fact Children in Bayview Hunters Point suffer alarming rates of asthma while big corporations are allowed to waste large amounts of energy.

Fact The PG&E power plant is unnecessary. The power plant was closed for three months in early 2002, and there were no brownouts or blackouts.

Fact Community health will be improved by replacing the polluting PG&E Hunters Point plant and Mirant's Potrero plant with cleaner energy, conservation and energy efficiency.
