If you feel the quarry's emissions are a public nuisance, please call the Air District and file a complaint - and insist that the inspector come and verify your complaint:

Tell City and County officials to protect the community from the quarry’s operations by stopping off-site dust emissions and the overwhelming truck traffic.

Are Diesel Fumes and Dust Emissions From the Rock Quarry a Nuisance For You?

Bring BAAQMD Inspectors to San Rafael and Make Them Do Their Job!

The San Rafael Rock Quarry has a permit from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District THAT PROHIBITS PUBLIC NUISANCES. The permit states that "This operation shall not emit emissions in sufficient quantities as to cause a public nuisance..." (permit condition 15857 #9).

Many residents believe the dust clouds and diesel fumes that are emitted from the quarry's property are a public nuisance.
